The Texas Rangers have had a patchy history. An expansion team given the opportunity to vacate Washington, D.C. as the Washington Senators. They rebranded as the Texas Rangers. Named for the well known law enforcement organization of the same name. The Ted Williams managed Texas Rangers briefly adopted the Rootin’ Tootin’ Ranger mascot. He fainted during the first game and that’s about all she wrote for that guy!
